My lullaby

Rest little one, don’t you cry
I’ll sing you my lullaby
Save your strength and your tears
I’ll be here to fight your fears

Dream of the love and also the care
That me and you willingly share
Dream of the sky and all of the bliss
Of the innocence that I will miss

Sleep little one, close your eyes
I’ll sing you my lullaby
Rest will come in all due time
So don’t you worry sweet child of mine

I will stay forever more
Until the day that you can soar
Into the sky so high and free
Away from us, away from me

Sing goodnight, and not goodbye
As I sing you my lullaby
My little angel, my sweet child
Go to sleep, if only for awhile
It's kinda scary to know that someday I will be a father, but at least now I have a lullaby that I can sing when the time does come. This is my first attempt in writing a lullaby, so comments would be appreciated.

I plan on also adding acoustic guitar to play along with it. But since you can't put music on here, it doesn't really matter anyways.
